2016 K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL US FINALS – YouTube

The US Finals of the 2016 World K-Pop Festival took place at the KCON convention in LA on July 30th. Here, 21 finalists from around the country competed for the grand prize, which is a round trip to Korea to compete at the World Finals at Changwon. This contest challenges all K-POP enthusiasts in their abilities to dance and/or sing using K-POP beats, lyrics, and choreography.

LEE JOONIK – The Master of Korean Historical Movies

Through “The King and the Clown”, the first Korean historical movie which attracted over 10 million viewers in Korea.

“The Throne” which made actor Yoo Ah-in one of the best actors on 2015. Director Lee Joon-ik who has directed these movies is called “The Master of Korean Historical Drama Films” . He laid the touchstone for the huge trend for historical movie trend in the past 5 years.

The 2016 KCON Concert successfully wrapped up in LA on July 30 and 31st. Let’s take a look at 10 highlights from the concert!

1. [0:48] Amber from f(x) inspired the audience with her most recent heart-touching music
2. [1:06] DEAN showed the audience what he was made of and even performed with ZICO on stage
3. [1:24] TURBO returned to music scene after a 15 year-hiatus
4. [1:44] First time I.O.I performed in the US since their debut, but still engaged the audiences attention
5. [2:27] Rookie Group, ASTRO, performed at KCON after only debuting in February this year!
6. [3:12] Pop ballad duo, Davichi, brought famous OSTs to the stage during their performances
