Many celebrities walked the Red Carpet on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25th at Prudential Center. Eager fans were waiting for their favorite artists including BTS, BTOB, Mamamoo, Ailee, Eric Nam, Day 6, Seventeen, Dynamic Duo and Crush. Actors Yim Siwan and Park Bo Young also came out to meet the audiences and media. Danny Im was the MC who greeted each artist as they graced the red carpet. Although video was not allowed, Hallyu World created a photo montage of the celebrities who attended.

KCON 2016 NY: MAMAMOO's Surprise Appearance! – YouTube

On Friday afternoon June 24, K-pop group MAMAMOO and official ambassador to Leaders Cosmetics, made a special surprise appearance at the Convention Stage to greet their fans and answer questions from social media. The crowd cheered for the four members Solar, Hwasa, Whee In and Moon Byul as they showed their charisma before performing on stage the next day.

(*CC for CN) 2016 was the first year that KCON came to Paris, coinciding with the 130 Year anniversary of Korea-France Diplomatic ties. The KCON Convention in Paris took place at Le Studio, at AccorHotels Arena.

There were many vendors and interactive booths that offered fans a unique experience. Among them included beauty workshops, traditional Korean fashion, artist engagements sessions (like this one here with BTS) and of course… tasting delicious Korean food and snacks! One of the highlights was a virtual reality experience event, where participants could try virtually traveling to South Korea!

At 6pm, the doors opened to the concert, which included an impressive lineup of 6 artist groups – SHINee, f(x), F.T Island, Block B, BTS and IOI. The MC of the night was none other than Super Junior’s very own Leeteuk! Special guests included actor Jin Goo and actress Han Ji Min. At the age of 15, Christophe Michalak started his journey to becoming a pastry master.
